Pick a Whisper model
Choose Whisper large-turbo for accuracy or Parakeet v3 for speed. Turbo Whisper routes audio to whichever engine you selected and keeps everything local.

Record or drop audio
Use the record button for live capture, or drag audio/video files into the window. Everything stays on device.

Run Whisper
Click transcribe. Whisper handles speech-to-text, optional translation to English, and punctuation — exactly as the open-source project provides.

Copy & paste
Turbo Whisper pastes the transcript into the focused document automatically and also exposes the plain text in case you want to save it elsewhere.

Which Whisper models are included?
Turbo Whisper ships with two buttons: Whisper large-turbo (via WhisperKit) and Parakeet v3 (our own Metal pipeline). Pick whichever fits your hardware and latency needs.
Does it translate audio to English?
Yes. Whisper has a built-in translate-to-English mode, and Turbo Whisper just forwards that flag to the selected model. Whatever Whisper outputs is what you get.
Can it recognise multiple speakers?
Whisper offers basic diarisation hints, but Turbo Whisper does not add extra speaker separation. Expect a single transcript stream from either model.
Is there an API or automation support?
No. Turbo Whisper is a GUI helper. If you need scripting, call WhisperKit or the Whisper CLI directly.
