RAW aware

Understands pro codecs

From CR3 and ARW to BRAW, R3D, and ProRes, Camera Recovery Guru uses real-world file signatures to rebuild footage.

Read only

No surprises for the card

Scans run against a read-only copy of the media, so you can retry, clone, or escalate without corrupting evidence.

Scene preview

See the shot before you restore

Get live thumbnails and frame previews as the scan progresses, making it fast to locate the right clip or burst.

Recover a card in four steps

  1. 1

    Mount the media

Insert the card or connect the camera. Camera Recovery Guru recognises it instantly and keeps it read-only.

  2. 2

    Pick a scan mode

Run a quick scan for recently deleted items or a deep scan when the card has been reformatted or corrupted.

  3. 3

    Review the finds

Browse the recovered hierarchy in a column view, watch thumbnails appear, and double-check metadata before you restore.

  4. 4

    Copy to safety

Save the selected media to a different drive—your original card stays untouched for further passes if needed.

Workflow notes

Camera Recovery Guru uses the same raw scanning engine as Mac Data Recovery Guru, tuned specifically for photo and video media. A formatted card, corrupt header, or accidentally deleted shoot still has a strong chance of recovery when you scan it block-by-block.
